Latest News : After years of trying for a baby, Louise has given birth to her first child. New arrival Charlie Redknapp weighed in at 6lb 6oz according to reports and the couple decided to name him after Louise's grandfather, who sadly died on the same day she found out that she was pregnant. Louise, of ex-Eternal fame, has had great success since going solo in July 1995: to date she has produced three top 20 albums, and from these 8 very successful singles.

What has Louise done in 2002? Well, she did a tour of the country in the early months, which was quite successful. Louise has also been confirmed as the first signing to Metrophonic Records, which is owned by Ministry of Sound... whether this means she is about to release more material, or at least interested in so doing... well, let's hope so! She has also done some presenting work on SM:TV... a children's Saturday show.

2001 proved rather quiet - she put in the odd appearance on some TV programs, was seen at some awards parties and so on, but really she had disappointingly once more faded into obscurity. The promotion she has received had been as disappointing as ever, reflecting the change in her own priorities. However, her single, "Stuck in the Middle", was released in late August, and did pleasingly well, entering the charts at number 4, and "Changing Faces - the Best of Louise" album was released on CD and DVD in September.

Some have worried that this means the end of her career, however this isn't the case - not quite time for kids yet! The greatest hits album has done ok, though not brilliantly. Also, she announced a big tour and tickets are selling well, she tours from January to March 2002 and visits a variety of venues throughout the country. She continues to make the odd appearance on tv shows, and celebrated her birthday on 4th November. She seems to becoming a regular on SMTV with Cat Deeley now that Ant and Dec have progressed their careers.

Perhaps the most publicity that Louise has had recently came in June when she made the front page of the Sun - but not for her musical talent, but because she appeared topless on a beach, when on holiday with hubby Jamie Redknapp. To see the pics, Click Here!!!

Louise's latest, and long awaited album, is named - and named after - Elbow Beach, in honour of the resort where she got married to Liverpool footballer Jamie Redknapp. Her first single from the album, 2 faced was finally released on 17th July 2000. It was a 2 CD set. See the single covers and tracklistings here!!!. The single was a great success, bringing Louise her highest chart position to date - as it entered the UK chart at number 3. This was all the more impressive given the time she had been out of the limelight. Always one looking to the future, Louise has revealed she'd love her next album to feature lots of songs about children...hmm!!! Getting back to the current album, it was released on the 31st July, and entered the album chart at No. 12 - disappointing given it's quite high sales figures for an album. The second single to be released from the album was Beautiful Inside, a catchy song with good melody, though perhaps not as good as 2 Faced. It was probably the second best track on the album, and whilst fans thought it had the potential to do well, due to the usual distinct lack of publicity and promotion, the song only reached No. 13, and hence the album didn't receive much of a boost either. This was quite frustrating for all her fans! At least it meant she was present on our screens for a while on all the usual shows, Top of the Pops and so on.

The Free Burger King CD featuring a Louise track was a total failure, since it was discovered that via the CD users had easy access to over 2000 pornographic sites! A complete PR disaster on behalf of BK, which sadly had a knock-on effect to Louise, and also the Honeyz.
